Collaborative
As a licensed Associate Social Worker, I work collaboratively with each client. That means we set goals together, explore what’s working (and what’s not), and move at a pace that feels right for you. You’re the expert on your life—I’m here to support, challenge, and guide you through meaningful change.
A Little Bit About Me
Whether it’s the loss of a parent, rebuilding after divorce, burnout from running a business, or learning to live with anxiety—these experiences aren’t just clinical situations to me. They’re real. I’ve lived through them. This lived experience, combined with my training as a licensed therapist, has led me here.
I bring both clinical training and real-world experience to my work. Having navigated the complexities of life through the lenses of cancer, divorce, relocation, and the demands of running a business, I understand the transformative journey of self-reinvention and the emotional toll it can take.
‘This work is deeply personal—and it’s incredibly meaningful. I’m honored to walk with people as they find their way forward. And I’m so grateful to be doing work where I get to witness real, lasting change in people’s lives.’
My path began in New York City, where I spent 35 years immersed in diverse experiences—as a Broadway actress, a leading real estate broker, and the founder of a multi-award-winning skincare company. Each role provided unique insights into the human experience, helping me cultivate a deep understanding of the challenges many face.
Anxiety played a significant role in my decision to leave my acting career. At that time, I lacked the language to articulate what I was feeling; I only sensed something was not right. It took years to identify this pervasive anxiety and an even longer journey to learn how to manage it effectively. My breast cancer diagnosis was a pivotal moment—I realized I could no longer ignore it. This awareness led me to therapy, a space that not only supported me through treatment but also equipped me with tools to confront my anxiety head-on.
When I later launched my skincare company, I found myself in deeply meaningful conversations with women undergoing cancer treatment. These calls would often extend for hours, as I guided them through the emotional, physical, and practical aspects of their journeys. My support went beyond their skincare needs; I was alongside them as they faced fears, identity shifts, and the overwhelming aftermath that often lingers long after treatment concludes.
These experiences profoundly shaped my desire to assist women through their own turbulent, defining moments. I aim to provide the kind of support my therapist offered me, walking beside them through their complexities and uncertainties.
Walk and Talk Therapy
While I offer traditional therapy and Telehealth, if you are looking for something more this may be for you!
Walking is a simple yet powerful act that can change how you feel. It reduces stress, boosts creativity, and enables conversations about tough topics. Our walk-and-talk therapy sessions offer a chance to connect with nature while engaging in meaningful dialogue. In this calm outdoor setting, we can address anxiety, discuss life changes, or explore new ways to improve your mental health. These sessions create an atmosphere of openness and comfort, allowing you to express your thoughts at your own pace.

What Clients are Saying
"Working with Cynthia was a turning point for me. I came to her feeling lost—recently divorced, kids out of the house, career in flux, and not sure who I was anymore. From our very first session, she created a space where I felt safe, seen, and not judged. She didn’t rush me or throw advice at me. Instead, she helped me reconnect with myself, one session at a time. I’ve not only found my footing again—I feel stronger, clearer, and more confident in this next chapter."

""Midlife hit me harder than I expected. I was running a small business, managing family stress, and quietly battling anxiety I’d ignored for years. Cynthia got it—because she’s lived parts of it herself. Her approach was collaborative and practical. She helped me break things down into what I could actually manage, and she always met me with empathy, not judgment. I honestly don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t started working with her when I did."
